I have to say I am loving the card making! I guess all I needed was to rub (virtual) elbows with some amazing card crafters to get me in the groove. I have been trying all kinds of new things and this week is no exception.
My challenge for you this week is: incorporate paper piecing into your card.
It can be the entire card or an element of your card. You might have some paper piecing patterns already, but if not there are lots available on-line. Here's one spot: http://www.scrapbooksetc.com/magazine/piecetalk/index.html. I had never done paper piecing before. Some of the patterns I came across were a little daunting with their teeny pieces, but I saw lots of patterns that were much less complicated. I used a cupcake pattern from a past Scrapbooks, etc. issue. My cupcake is frosted with Stickles, sprinkled with some bling from parts unknown and the cupcake paper is fashioned from the thing that keeps your hand from burning off on a Timothy's coffee cup. What do you call that thing??!?!
Have a look at what my LCOM team mates created! Now you know where my inspiration comes from. I would love to see what you can come up with ladies!!
